Jennifer LaBud
Principal

Jeni has over 19 years of mortgage banking experience, of which six years is in due diligence, most recently serving for as the Vice President of Compliance for a national due diligence firm.  Jeni began her compliance training at PNC Mortgage where she worked for eight years.  Well-versed in federal, state, and local predatory lending regulations and Regulation Z, Jeni qualifies as one of the industry's top experts in regulatory compliance, and has been responsible for the development of several innovative compliance systems. As co-founder of Opus CMC, Jeni has the expertise and executive level talent that is vital to leading a successful due diligence operation.  Jeni holds a BA in Business Administration from Illinois State University

Joseph Andrea
Principal

With over 17 years of experience in the mortgage and real estate industries, Joe brings an impressive record of leadership and executive administration. Prior to co-founding Opus CMC, Joe worked for eight years at a national due diligence firm, most recently serving as President. Joe holds a BS in Finance and Real Estate from the University of Arizona, and brings experience in commercial mortgage and real estate to compliment his secondary market expertise, which dates back to 1996 where he began due diligence work with AGS Financial. Joe is responsible for the strategic development and corporate vision, and he continues to create a strategic edge by evaluating and managing the forces that drive performance and increase efficiency.

Theresa Custer
Managing Director of Operations, Sussex

As Managing Director of Operations, Theresa is responsible for all of OpusCMC due diligence operations including managing customer relationships, and overseeing all production, systems, and staff of more than one hundred staff.

Theresa has been in the mortgage industry for 28 years, primarily operations management roles in the due diligence, securitization, and loan servicing areas.

Prior to serving as a Managing Director for Opus CMC, Theresa was a senior consultant and operations manager at Mortgage Dynamics, Inc. She has also held management positions at such companies as Columbia First , Dominion Federal S&L, Perpetual Bank, FSB and Dominion Banc Shares Mortgage Corp. She is very active in the MBA and has served on various sub-committees.
